The Olympic champion is used to sharing photos on social media about her sport, but this time she showed off photos in her insta-story with her boyfriend taking in the sun and recharging her batteries before the new season.

A 16-year-old girl in the northwestern province of Sakarya's Adapazarı district, who had shared on social media photographs of a cat with eyes gouged out, has been fined 2,202 Turkish Liras by the authorities. 

The girl, identified only as Suda A., had shared on Aug. 22 a photograph of a cat with eyes gouged out along with a statement: "What I like the most."

I follow every article from every different political perspective, as well as discussions on social media and TV. But as a scriptwriter, the most interesting things for me to follow are the comments under articles.

Due to the fact that social media services such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat are inaccessible in China, there exists a whole ecosystem of social networking and messaging platforms that are immensely popular in and around China but hardly known anywhere else in the world.

CNN TV fired commentator Jeffrey Lord for a Nazi greeting in his Twitter blog.

Adhering to his conservative views, Lord turned to his personal blog on Twitter to reply to the head the non-governmental media organization Media Matters for America, Angelo Carrozone, with Nazi greetings.

Facebook TV is reportedly coming in two weeks, according to Bloomberg.

TV partners are already being asked to submit the first episodes of their "spotlight" shows. These will be inexpensive, five- to 10-minute shows that are owned by the media companies that have partnered with Facebook, with 45 percent of ad revenue going to the latter.
