Hundreds of Passengers Have Been Blocked at Sofia Airport Due to Flight Delays

Hundreds of passengers were blocked at Sofia Airport because of delays in several flights of the national carrier Bulgaria Air this night.

With more than three hours the flights from Sofia to Varna were postponed. The flight to Burgas was also postponed with several hours.

And there are currently non-scheduled flights.

French-German Consortium Wins Sofia Airport Concession Tender

Bulgaria has picked consortium asset manager comprising Meridiam, Strabag and Munich Airport to run and operate Sofia Airport for 35 years, DFNI Online reported citing Bulgaria's transport minister.
The consortium is to invest more than EUR 600 mln for the airport's development and has offered an annual concession fee of EUR 24.5 mln.

French-German Consortium "Sof Connect" Wins the Concession for Sofia Airport

The French-German consortium "Sof Connect", which operates Munich Airport, has been selected as the winner of the concession tender for Sofia Airport, Bulgaria's Transport Minister Rossen Zhelyazkov said on July 17. The contract can be signed after the expiry of the 15-day period in which the remaining four candidates have the right to appeal, reports BNT.
