New Fees at the Sofia University Voted by the Academic Council

Partial change of the annual fees in Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski "for the next academic year for bachelor degree, this is what the Academic Council decided. For the study of nearly 18 majors, they are elevated, with the greatest increase for philology at the Faculty of Slavic Studies from 300 to 400 leva.
 

The Admissions Campaign at the Sofia University has Started

Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" officially launched its admissions campaign. From February 18, Monday, applications are accepted to attend admission exams to enter the university.

Exam sessions this year are two. The first one will be from 24 March to 28 April 2019 and the second from 26 May to 23 June.

Today is the Student's Holiday, Celebrated in Bulgaria since 1903

Today is the holiday of Bulgarian students.

In 1897, Professor Ivan Shishmanov, the Minister of Enlightenment, asked the first Higher School in Bulgaria to have "a special, own holiday". At its meeting on November 2, 1902, the Academic Council of the Higher School set the day of the enlightener St. Kliment Ohridski - November 25 (December 8 - a new style), for this holiday.

Why Bulgaria does not have a Scientific Research Vessel?

The Bulgarian base in Antarctica is an international scientific laboratory. There are also scientists from many different parts of the world, including Colombian scientists this year. Two Portuguese, Turks and a Cypriot scientist , said Hristo Pimpirev,  Prof. , Director of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute and Head of Bulgarian Expeditions on the South Continent on Darik's "The Week".
