Bulgaria Comemorates 184th Birth Anniversary of Revolutionary and National Hero Vassil Levski

 Events were held in many places across the country marking the 184th birth anniversary of Bulgarian revolutionary and national hero Vassil Levski. Dubbed the Apostle of Freedom, Levski organized and led a revolutionary movement to liberate Bulgaria from the Ottoman rule.

Today is 50th Anniversary of Tragic Death of G.Asparuhov and N.Kotkov, Legends of Bulgarian Football

June 30 marks the 50th anniversary of the death of two of the biggest names in Bulgarian football - Georgi Asparuhov-Gundi and Nikola Kotkov.

Sofia EU-funding Will Be Cut Says Deputy PM Pekanov

A working meeting with the Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova and her team was held in the Council of Ministers on June 29. "We addressed the problems we find in the distribution of European funds in the country, which directly affects its development," caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for European Funds Atanas Pekanov said.

Free Vaccination Posts in Parks and Shopping Malls in Sofia This Weekend

There will be free vaccination posts or so called  "green corridors"  for vaccinations against Covid-19 in public parks and shopping malls in Bulgaria's capital Sofia on June 26 and 27.

The opportunity for administering Covid-19 jabs in outdoor spaces at places convenient to the members of the public is at the initiative of Sofia Municipality and Sofia Regional Health Inspectorate.
