Bulgaria's men's national team made it difficult for themselves but recorded a third victory at the European Volleyball Championship. Silvano Prandy's team settled for 3-1 (25:23, 28:30, 25:23, 25:22) against Portugal in their third match of the tournament.

The national volleyball team achieved the first victory at the European Championship in Poland. The selection of Plamen Konstantinov won 3:0 (25:15, 28:26, 25:21) against Spain.

The former speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament, Yordan Sokolov, died at the age of 83.

Sokolov served as the speaker of the 38th National Assembly between 1997 and 2001.

Prior to that, he was interior minister in the government of Filip Dimitrov between 1991 and 1992.

Sokolov was elected three times as an MP, namely in the 37th, 38th and 39th national assemblies.

BELGRADE - Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic is on a two-day visit to Moscow, where she will meet with her Russian counterpart Maxim Sokolov to discuss modernization of the Serbian Railways.

President, PM meet with Russian transportation minister

BELGRADE -- Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić and Prime Minister Ivica Dačić had separate meetings in Belgrade on Tuesday with a delegation of the Russian Federation.

The Russian delegation was led by Transportation Minister Maksim Sokolov.
