China's 'art factory' painters turn from fakes to originals

Painters in a Chinese village once known for churning out replicas of Western masterpieces are now making original art worth thousands of dollars, selling their own works in a booming domestic art market.

Home to more than 8,000 artists, southern China's Dafen has been producing near-perfect copies of timeless masterpieces for years.

‘What You Won’t Do for Love’ singer Bobby Caldwell dies

Bobby Caldwell, a soulful R&B singer and songwriter who had a major hit in 1978 with "What You Won't Do for Love" and a voice and musical style adored by generations of his fellow artists, has died, his wife said on March 15.

Mary Caldwell said that he died in her arms at their home in Great Meadows, New Jersey, on March 14, after a long illness.

He was 71.

Marisa Abela to portray Amy Winehouse in new film

British actress Marisa Abela will portray Amy Winehouse in a biopic about the late singer, production and distribution company Studiocanal has said.

Called "Back to Black" and directed by British filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson, the movie will focus on Winehouse's "vibrant years living in London in the early aughts and her intense journey to fame."
