We all know Santorini, Mykonos and Crete, but the Telegraph decided to cast the spotlight on Greece's least populated Greek islands that are unpopular and where "transport may well be a donkey rather than a taxi or bus."

Greek doctors offered 450-euro bonus to work on small islands

The Southern Aegean Regional Authority said on Tuesday that it is going to pay 60 new doctors an extra 450 euros a month for three years to help cover the shortage of medics on many Cycladic and Dodecanese islands.

Authorities want the doctors to work at various local health centers and hospitals.

Turkish plane violates Greek air space in eastern Aegean

A Turkish Coast Guard transport plane was caught by Greek military radar flying over the eastern Aegean island of Farmakonisi on Saturday.

The CN235 entered Greek airspace between the islands of Samos and Kos, and flew unauthorized over Farmakonisi at 10.39 a.m., Greece’s National Defense General Staff (GEETHA), said.
