Father arrested after prostituting daughter for 5 euros
A father was detained by police after it was revealed that he had been allegedly prostituting his 14-year-old girl on the island of Kalymnos for 5 euros for the last 3 year. According to sources, the father would solicit his daughter to older men who paid up to 20 euros to have sexual contact with the girl.

A 4.9 magnitude earthquake has hit the area between the islands of Milos, Amorgos and Santorini. The tremor occurred at 6.53pm, according to the Athens Geodynamics Institute.

The first floor of the Archaeological Museum of Kos will be accessible to the public as of Saturday, August 5, the Greek Culture Ministry said on Friday.

Firefighters contain Kea blaze
A fire that broke out late Wednesday on the Aegean island of Kea (also known as Tzia) has been mostly contained before spreading to residential areas, authorities said.
Teams were continuing to cool blaze hotspots and were expected to remain in the area for the time being.

Kos earthquake recovery aid approved
The government has approved 300,000 euros in aid for the eastern Aegean island of Kos, which suffered extensive damage in a devastating earthquake last month. According to authorities, the aid will go toward the repair of damage to infrastructure.
