Zezelj Bridge to be completed by end-November

NOVI SAD - The construction of Novi Sad's Zezelj Bridge will be completed by end-November, when it will be opened to rail traffic, it was announced on Thursday.

EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn, Serbian ministers Zorana Mihajlovic and Aleksandar Antic, Vojvodina PM Igor Mirovic and Novi Sad Mayor Milos Vucevic toured the construction site.

Partizan draw, Red Star win in first legs of cup semi-finals

NOVI SAD - Partizan Belgrade drew 0-0 with Vojvodina Novi Sad away from home in Wednesday's first leg of the Serbian football cup semi-finals after Red Star Belgrade defeated Cukaricki 4-1 earlier in the day.

In a hectic game in front of 10,000 spectators at the Karadjordje Stadium, Vojvodina missed two great chances through Nenad Trujic and Aleksandar Palocevic.

Vojvodina vs Partizan, Cukaricki vs Red Star in Serbian football cup

BELGRADE - Vojvodina Novi Sad were on Tuesday drawn to face title holders Partizan Belgrade in the semi-finals of the Serbian football cup, with Cukaricki to take on Red Star Belgrade.

Vojvodina and Cukaricki will host the first legs on April 26, with the return legs slated for May 10.

Repeat elections at eight polling stations scheduled for April 11

BELGRADE - The Serbian national election commission (RIK) on Wednesday ordered repeat presidential elections at eight polling stations where it had annulled the voting.

The repeat elections are scheduled to take place on April 11 at polling stations in Kraljevo, Pancevo, Vrsac, Vrbas, Topola, Zrenjanin, Backa Palanka and the Belgrade municipality of Zvezdara.

College student Sasa Loncar said he and his friends came to the protest in Belgrade because they want things to change and because they see Vucic as a dictator.
