Minister: Serbia close to deal with IMF
BELGRADE -- Minister of Finance Dušan Vujović said on Thursday that a draft budget for the next year will be put forward to the Serbian parliament by December 1.
He also announced that November 20 he will make public the result of the talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which he expects to be successful.

Police ups border crossing control
BELGRADE - The border police increased on Thursday the control at vorder crossings in order to prevent criminal activities, the Interior Ministry has said.
The requirements for foreigners to enter Serbia and for Serbian citizens to enter the EU will be incspected in dtail, the statement says.

Bulgaria Warns of Rising River Levels
The environment ministry on Thursday warned of an expected rise in river levels as rain started to fall in many Bulgarian regions.
According to a forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, a more considerable rainfall is expected in southern Bulgaria.

Memorandum on economic cooperation signed
BELGRADE - The Serbian Association of Managers (SAM) and the Senate of economy of Serbia signed in Belgrade the Memorandum on cooperation with a view to setting up close ties between Serbian, Austrian and German businessmen, improvement of competitiveness and encouragement of investments and exports.

Bulgarian Energy Utility Pays Off Small Part of Debt to Vidachim
Bulgaria's National Electricity Company (NEK) has transerred a small amount of money to Vidachim, an official of the Vidin-based tyre maker says.
Sevdalina Dimitrova, who is President of the Board of Directors at Vidachim, made the announcement on Thursday, but warned the company needed "much more" than what it had received.
Declaration signed on principles in administration
BRUSSELS - The ministers of public and state administration of Western Balkan countries and Turkey have signed a joint declaration on the main principles in this field following a conference in Brussels.
The conference ended on Wednesday, and the declaration was signed on behalf of Serbia by Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government Kori Udovicki.
