Borrell: Time for Belgrade, Pristina to demonstrate responsibility

BRUSSELS - EU foreign policy and security chief Josep Borrell said on Thursday he expected Saturday's Ohrid meeting, which will focus on the implementation annex of a proposed EU agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, to result in far-reaching normalisation of relations between the two sides.

MT KOPAONIK - When it comes to relations between big powers, Serbia should not be "the grass under fighting elephants," PM Ana Brnabic said on Wednesday, noting that Serbia was being targeted by objections over Chinese investments in the country even though China had invested more in Western Europe than it had in Serbia and the Western Balkans.

According to him, due to the non-introduction of those sanctions, Serbia is paying a high price.
In an interview with Novi Pazar Radio Sto Plus, he said that it is very important that Serbia does not wait to become a member of the EU, but that, in the process of accession, it should align its policy with the EU, including regarding the introduction of sanctions against Russia.

Dacic thanks NAM member states that stand with Serbia

BAKU - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic thanked on Thursday in Baku the numerous Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member states that stood with Serbia and were consistent with the principles of respect of international law by not recognising the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo.

Dacic was speaking at a NAM Contact Group Summit.

Tourist visits in Serbia up by 18.8 pct y-o-y in January

BELGRADE - Serbia registered 18.8 pct more tourist visits in January 2023 relative to the same month of last year and the number of overnight stays was up by 12.3 pct, according to figures released by the national statistical office.

Overnight stays generated by Serbian tourists were down by 4.8 pct y-o-y, while those generated by foreign tourists were up by 39.2 pct y-o-y.
