British Tourists have Returned to Sunny Beach, the South Seaside will Rely on Bulgarians

After two heavy Covid summers in Sunny Beach, a good season is expected. British tourists have returned to the resort after two seasons during which hotels working with the UK market remained closed. At the beginning of June, the hotels in the resort are already full from 20% to over 40%. However, people in Sunny Beach are moderate optimists.

The Blue Flag eco-label was awarded to 15 Bulgarian beaches in 2020, including Arkutino, Duni, Sozopol, Pomorie East, Nessebar South, Sveti Vlas, Golden Sands and Albena, the representation of Blue Flag international programme in Bulgaria has announced.  

The Blue Flag programme encourages the maintenance of ecologically clean beaches and marinas. 

Ravadinovo Castle Voted Bulgaria's Tourist Attraction of 2018

The Castle In Love with the Wind in the village of Ravadinovo, Sozopol Municipality won the 2018 Annual Tourism Award of the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism in the category Tourist Site/ Attraction, the Bulgarian National Radio-Burgas informs. The winner was chosen in an online voting of Bulgarian and foreign tourists. It earned 35.96% of all votes.

The information was announced on the air of Darik Burgas by Dimitar Nedev, director of the Archaeological Museum in the Old Town. The find dates back to the first decades since Apollonia was founded. An ancient mine has emerged during excavations in the Meden Rid area, near the Bakarlaka Hill.
