New version of Hürkuş completes maiden flight

The updated version of Türkiye's Hürkuş training aircraft successfully completed its first flight on Dec. 30.

The flight conducted at Mürted air base in the capital Ankara followed ground testing. During the 20-minute journey, the aircraft reached an altitude of 6,500 feet and a speed of 140 knots, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) said in a statement on X.

Türkiye’s homegrown missiles ensure national security

Türkiye's domestically produced missiles developed by Ankara-based defense company Roketsan ensure the country's national security with many prominent air and naval systems.

Roketsan's Tayfun short-range ballistic missile uses its hypersonic speed to reach a range of over 280 kilometers (174 miles), operating in all weather conditions, day or night.

Türkiye launches first locally designed multi-role helicopter

Türkiye has officially delivered its first locally designed and produced multi-role utility helicopter, the T625 Gökbey, developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).

The helicopter has been equipped with indigenous avionics systems designed by Ankara-based defense firm Aselsan.

Armed attack on Türkiye’s Aerospace Industry leaves five dead, including two terrorists

This afternoon, three armed individuals, including a woman, launched a surprise attack on the entrance of Türkiye’s Aerospace Industry Academy. According to preliminary information from the country’s Interior Ministry and a statement from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, five people have lost their lives, while 14 others are hospitalized in the Turkish capital.
