Attacks on Several Churches in Southern Spain, there are Killed and Injured

Spanish police have detained a man who carried out attacks with cold weapons in several churches in Algeciras in the south of the country, "El Pais" reported.

At the moment it is known that one person was killed and several were injured ("El Mundo" reports of four).

Personalities representing the diplomatic and cultural life of the Spanish speaking countries in Bucharest, alongside the Spanish writer Care Santos, will read from the work of Miguel de Cervantes and several other great Spanish authors to the Romanian audience, on the International Book Day, informs a press release of the Cervantes Institute sent to AGERPRES.

The third Festival of Contemporary Spanish Theater will take place this weekend at the Anna and Maria Kalouta Municipal Cultural Center. Shows on both days start at 5 p.m. The festival is dedicated to women playwrights, including Yolanda Altabert, Ana Diaz Velasco, Carmen Vinolo, Eva Alarte and many more, and presents a panorama of recent trends and themes in the Spanish theater.

Sofia to Mark Spanish Language Day on June 20

Bulgaria's capital Sofia on Saturday will be part of worldwide events marking the Spanish Language Day (Día E).

Spanish and Latin American music, but also books, theater plays and cuisine from several Spanish-speaking states will dominate the events in and outside the Cervantes Institute building in downtown Sofia (3, Sveta Sofia Str).
