Six million passengers in Greek airports in the first quarter of 2017
The passenger traffic of Greek airports in the first quarter of 2017 increased by 6,6% compared to the corresponding period of 2016, reaching a total of 6 million passengers.
Athens eyes rise in visitor numbers
The Greek capital will see a fresh rise in tourism this season, according to data presented to the media on Thursday by Athens Mayor Giorgos Kaminis and Aegean Airlines Vice President Eftychis Vassilakis.

Air arrivals from abroad rose 9 percent in 2016
International arrivals in Greece by road and air rose considerably last year from 2015, according to data from the Institute of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE).

Athens airport had best year ever in 2016
Athens International Airport enjoyed its best year ever in 2016, as it served a total of 20.02 million passengers, adding 1.9 million passengers to its traffic from 2015, or 10.7 percent year-on-year.
December 2016 fared even better, with a 14.3 percent increase compared to the same month a year earlier.

Tender for 30 pct of Athens Airport by March
The government will have to proclaim a tender for the sale of 30 percent of Athens International Airport by March, according to the draft supplementary memorandum of understanding that the creditors have submitted to Athens to close the second bailout review.

Olympic Air cancelled flights for Friday and Saturday
More ‘Olympic Air’ commercial flights will be cancelled due to a strike called by the union of Civil Aviations Services. More specifically the following flights will be cancelled on:
-Friday, October 7:
OA 030 Athens-Leros, OA 031 Leros-Athens
OA 056 Athens-Kythira, OA 057 Kythira-Athens
Traffic at Athens Airport rises 14.6 percent in September
Traffic through Athens International Airport is continuing to improve this year, as AIA on Tuesday reported a 14.6 percent annual increase in passenger numbers last month and 10.2 percent year-on-year growth in the first nine months of 2016.
In September AIA served 2.13 million passengers, of whom 1.4 million were on international flights, up 15 percent year-on-year.

Paros airport trebles incoming passengers in August
The impact of Paros's new airport on the island's tourism has been impressive, with Olympic Air this week reporting a three-fold increase in the number of passengers to the Cycladic island year-on-year, from 6,159 in August 2015 to 18,725 last month.
Foreign arrivals shrink marginally at the Athens Airport
Passenger traffic from abroad at Athens International Airport recorded an annual decline in April for the first time in several years, amounting to 0.5 percent. The 4.3 percent rise in domestic traffic led overall passenger numbers to an annual increase of 1.2 percent.
