Grigor Dimitrov Tops Forbes Bulgaria Celebrity List

Forbes Bulgaria has named top tennis player Grigor Dimitrov the biggest celebrity in Bulgaria, Tuesday.

Forbes has announced the 70 most outstanding personalities in the country taking into account how successful they are in their field, organizers explained. Media popularity and social networks presence are also of great importance, Dnevnik.bg notes.

Real Madrid Arrives In Sofia

The Spanish football team Real Madrid arrived in Sofia on Tuesday afternoon for its match against Bulgaria's Ludogorets in the Champions League.

The team was welcomed by many fans and had a practice at the Vasil Levski national stadium where the two teams will play on Wednesday evening.

The tickets for the game have been sold out last week.

Bulgaria's Ludogorets To Face Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bazel

Bulgaria's football team Ludogorets, will face Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bazel in Group B of UEFA's Champions League.

Ludogorets, which won a dramatic game against Romanian Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday night in Sofia, would be the second Bulgarian team, after Levski, to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League. 

Bulgarian National Tourism Council Adopts New Promotional Strategies

Bulgaria's National Tourism Council (NTCNTC has approved the advertising strategies for Bulgarian tourism, said Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy Branimir Botev, Tuesday.

Botev noted that the participants in the meeting of the NTCNTCwere unanimous in the discussion of all issues.

National Coach Lyuboslav Penev Takes Charge of Botev Plovdiv

Bulgaria's national football team coach Lyuboslav Penev will also lead top league club Botev Plovdiv from next season.

On Friday, the Bulgarian Football Union announced that it will allow Penev to combine the two jobs. The BFU President Borislav Mihaylov discussed the matter with the Executive Committee of the union and they agreed to give Penev the green light.
