Athens to host two European football finals
Athens will host two European football finals over the coming 16 months. They include the final of the Conference League that will be held in the OPAP Arena in May 2024, as well as the European Super Cup that will be held at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in 2023.

PAOK thrashes Panathinaikos as AEK gets to one point from the top
PAOK outplayed Panathinaikos in Sunday's crunch game to force the Greens' first home loss and throw the Super League wide open, as AEK has closed the gap from the top to a single point.

Police identify two suspects in Thessaloniki shooting
Police investigating Thursday's non-fatal shooting in downtown Thessaloniki of three men in broad daylight have identified two suspects, one of them a member of the security team guarding Aris soccer club's Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium.
Lavrio shatters AEK's unbeaten record in Basket League
Lavrio ended AEK's perfect record upsetting its visitor on Sunday, to cap a strong showing of the team coached by Christos Serelis over the last few weeks.
AEK's winning run ended at Lavrio with a 78-70 score, despite Yanick Moreira's 30 points and eight rebounds on the night, in the last league game in 2020.

Panathinaikos wins its first volleyball trophy in a decade
Panathinaikos won its first volleyball trophy in exactly 10 years on Wednesday after beating Olympiakos in the League Cup final by the narrowest of margins.
The Greens, who in the 2010s came twice close to relegation from the top flight, had won the first leg 3-2 sets in Piraeus last Thursday after coming from 2-0 down.
Government condemns vandalism of MP's Thessaloniki office by club fans
Greek government spokesman Stelios Petsas condemned the attack at the office of a New Democracy lawmaker by PAOK fans in the northern port city of Thessaloniki on Wednesday evening.
"We understand the love the friends PAOK have for their team, but we consider any violence unacceptable," he said. "Violence has no room in democracy."
