Djokovic defeats Kovacevic in Roland Garros opener
PARIS - Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic is through to the Roland Garros second round after defeating American Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-3, 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) on Monday.
World number three Djokovic won after two hours and 29 minutes of play.
Kovacevic is placed 114th in the ATP rankings.

'Massive' Russian drone attack kills one in Kiev: mayor
One civilian has died in Kiev after a "massive" drone attack on the Ukrainian capital, the city's mayor Vitali Klitschko said Sunday.
"A 35-year-old woman was hospitalised, a 41-year-old man died," the mayor and former boxer said on Telegram, reporting that drone wreckage had crashed near a petrol station.

Bulgaria with a Record 13 Medals from the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship
Bulgarian athletes completely dominated and won a record 13 medals at the 39th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Baku. Boryana Kaleyn, Stiliyana Nikolova, Eva Brezalieva and the ensembles for women and girls won five gold, five silver and three bronze medals. Thus, Bulgaria finished in first place in the medal ranking, ahead of Italy and Israel.
