US vaccination requirements set to be lifted,Djokovic to be able to play US Open

WASHINGTON - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, will be able to compete at the US Open this year after the US government announced on Monday it would lift all COVID-19 vaccination requirements for international travellers on May 11, when a coronavirus emergency in the country is set to end, Reuters has reported.

Serbia to play Puerto Rico, China and South Sudan in basketball World Cup group stage

MANILA - Serbia have been drawn to play Puerto Rico, China and South Sudan in Group B of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, to be held in the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan from August 25 through September 10.

The draw ceremony was held in Manila on Saturday.

Djokovic: My elbow is not in ideal condition, I hope to be ready for Srpska Open

BANJALUKA - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, said on Monday in Banjaluka he hoped he would be ready for his first Srpska Open match after admitting that his elbow was not in ideal condition.

Djokovic arrived in Banjaluka last night and had his first practice this afternoon.

Kenyans to set pace at Three Hearts Marathon

Radenci, a border town in the north-east known for its mineral water and spas, will host the 41st iteration of the Three Hearts Marathon on 20 May. Kenyan runners have been invited to set the pace.

The marathon, named after the three hearts logo of the Radenska water brand, will feature runs of 42, 21, ten and five kilometres plus a 10-kilometre Nordic walking course and more.

Türkiye bids to host Euro 2028 or 2032

 

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has submitted a final bid to UEFA to host the 2028 or 2032 editions of the European Football Championships.

"UEFA today received three bid dossiers from member national associations interested in hosting the 2028 and 2032 European Championships," the European football's governing body announced on April 12.
