First Posidonia Squash Tournament coming in May

The increasingly popular Posidonia Games' sporting calendar will this year feature the 1st Posidonia Squash Tournament, bringing the number of sports events the thousands of participants can chose from to five.
It will be held on Saturday, May 30 at the brand-new state-of-the-art Wave Squash Sports Club, situated in the port of Piraeus.

Bistrita man Tiberiu Useriu, 45, on Thursday evening, EET, came in second in the 300-mile Yukon Arctic Ultra ultramarathon race held in Canada, near the Polar Circle, after travelling more than 300 miles, some 490 kilometers, in seven days and 33 minutes. Finishing first was Swiss Fabian Imfeld, 33 years, who completed the race in six days, 18 hours and two minutes.

Korakaki to run first part of Olympic torch relay

Greek Olympic and world champion Anna Korakaki will run the first part of the relay following the torch-lighting ceremony for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and will also be the first woman to hold that honor. Russian 4-time world rhythmic gymnastics champion Alexandra Soldatova has been admitted to hospital after a suicide attempt. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

The hospital explained to the media that the condition of the athlete is improving, but visitors are not allowed.

Doctors report self-inflicted injuries. The athlete is known to have been diagnosed with bulimia.
