Obradovic to resign as Dveri leader

BELGRADE - Serbian Dveri Movement President Bosko Obradovic announced he would resign as the opposition party's leader on Saturday.

In a statement to Tanjug, Obradovic said a press conference would be held at the Dveri headquarters to address electoral results and accountability for the party's electoral failure.

Pandemic has Empowered Both Left and Right Extremism in Balkans

Serbia's parties began to focus solely on acquiring votes. Ideology became peripheral. Today, most parties in Serbia support more or less the same values: EU integration, human rights, raising living standards and the fight against corruption; the status of Kosovo remains potentially inflammatory for the party elites since most Serbian citizens are against recognizing Kosovo's independence.

Dveri Movement's parliamentary group no longer exists

The agency cites information coming from the Assembly to say that Srdjan Nogo and Zoran Radojicic have left the group.

The members of the Assembly from Dveri - Marija Janjusevic, Dragan Vesovic, Ivan Kostic, Bosko Obradovic, and Zoran Radojicic - are now listed as people's deputies who are not members of any group.
Earlier, Miladin Sevarlic also left the club.
