Heavy Storm in Stara Zagora Region Knocks Down Four Power Lines
Stara Zagora. A heavy thunderstorm has caused serious damage to four 110 kV power lines, said the Electricity System Operator (ESO). The high winds have knocked six poles down into the waters of the Rozov Kladenets dam leading to loss of the electric power produced by Brikel thermal power station.
Over 24,000 Stray Dogs Walk Around the Streets of Bulgaria
The total number of counted stray dogs obtained by collecting data from all municipalities in Bulgaria is 24,194 in 2017. Their number in 2016 was 25,861.
Only 15 out of a total of 265 municipalities have not adopted municipal programs to control the population of stray dogs. The registered shelters in the country are 47.
19-year-old Girl Stabbed her Boyfriend with a Knife, Doctors are Fighting for his Life
A 19-year-old girl from Radnevo stabbed her boyfriend with a kitchen knife, the Interior Ministry announced.
This happened during a scandal between the two.
The 28-year-old man is stabbed in the chest area.
He was transported to a hospital where he was placed in treatment, his condition is life-threatening. Doctors at UMHAT-Stara Zagora are fighting for his life.
VIP Tourists Land on Buzludzha with a Helicopter
A helicopter with VIP tourists will land on May 13 at the site of the Buzludzha Monument. The foreigners have expressed their wish to explore the Communist era saucer from 15.00 to 18.30, a permission for this was already requested from the regional governor Gergana Mikova, and she, in turn, informed the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Stara Zagora.
