Outbreak of Meningitis in a Kindergarten in Sofia, One Child Died
An outbreak of meningitis has been discovered in Sofia's 37th "Valshebstvo" Kindergarten in the Pavlovo district. As of yesterday, the children's institution has suspended classes, BNT reported. So far, 16 children and two adults have been infected. A 5-year-old child died.

Brussels – The European Commission said on Tuesday it would keep monitoring closely the situation of the Slovenian Press Agency (STA) following the signing of the contract on the STA public service for the last two months of the year. The Slovenian authorities must ensure that the independence of the agency is fully preserved, it added.
Big Fire in the Center of Sofia
Big fire in the center of the capital. An emblematic building, a cultural monument, is burning at the crossroads of Hristo Botev and Todor Alexandrov Boulevards. The building used to be a cinema then turned into a disco. It has cultural signifance.
The area is smoky. 8 fire trucks put out the fire. According to eyewitnesses, 15 people who were homeless lived inside.

Bulgarian Association of Establishments: Recognize the Antibody Test for a Green Certificate!
Currently, 42.2% of the employees of the establishments have completed vaccination cycle - this was stated in the morning block of BNT by Pavlin Petrov, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Establishments.
According to him, the antibody test for the issuance of a green certificate should be recognized in order to have relief for the sector.
Kadunc takes over as STA acting director
Ljubljana – Igor Kadunc, former director general of the public broadcaster RTV Slovenija, takes over as the acting director at the Slovenian Press Agency (STA) on Sunday. He stressed that ensuring financial stability of the STA would be his priority as a prerequisite for the normal functioning and existence of the agency.
