EU’s Borrell calls crisis meeting with Kosovo’s Kurti, Serbia’s Vucic

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has called crisis talks with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic for next week, a spokesperson said on Thursday.

"He invited both leaders for a 'crisis meeting' in Brussels next week," EU foreign affairs spokesperson Peter Stano said. "We will share more details at a later stage."

Vucic: Serbia will always stand with its people in Kosovo-Metohija

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday evening Serbia would always stand with its people in Kosovo-Metohija and would never allow an expulsion of Serbs from the province, but noted that "we must act in the wisest and the most intelligent manner, always and at all times."

Brkic: Officers of so-called Kosovo Police arrested in full combat gear

BELGRADE - State Secretary at the Serbian Interior Ministry Zeljko Brkic said an anti-terrorist unit of the Serbian police had located and arrested three officers of the so-called Kosovo Police deep inside the territory of central Serbia earlier in the afternoon, and noted that the arrestees had been "in full combat gear."

Kosovo and Serbian institutions on Wednesday said Serbian police had arrested three Kosovo police officials in an action that Kosovo authorities called "kidnapping".

Brnabic: Kurti causing fresh escalation to avoid commitments

LONDON - Commenting on the latest developments in the north of Kosovo-Metohija, Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said on Tuesday they were another provocation by Pristina's PM Albin Kurti, who she said was causing a fresh escalation and a new wave of violence to avoid commitments from the Brussels and Ohrid agreements, including the establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities.
