An online petition against the wearing of headscarves by Muslim girls in schools has been initiated in Kosovo, following an earlier petition calling for girls who wear a headscarf to be allowed to attend public schools was closed by organisers on Saturday over claims that their campaign had caught the attention of decision-makers.

Prime Minister of Kosovo stated that the tensions in the north of Kosovo will continue if the western democracies allow Serbia to continue with "its old dreams, which are becoming a nightmare for Serbia's neighbors, but also for the Serbian people themselves".

The Kosovo government has allocated €40 million to cover unpaid electricity in the four Serb-dominated municipalities in the north. The funds will be allocated to the Kosovo Energy Distribution and Supply Company, KOSTT.

In joining Western sanctions on Russia, Kosovo is sending a message of solidarity and alignment. The impact in real terms will be negligible.

He and others were held by the KLA in the mountains of northern Albania until June 1999. After the war officially ended, he and three other detainees were brought to a building in Prizren in Kosovo. A week later, he managed to escape.

He says that the new platform of Kosovo officials for solving the problem of Kosovo is just a "list of good wishes of irresponsible politicians".

"We are ready to negotiate, but ... there is no white flag," Vucic said in an interview with Reuters.
According to him, dialogue is welcome if it is a dialogue, in which it would be considered what is possible and what is a compromise.

It is expected to harmonize the principles, the topics of negotiations on the normalization of relations between the two sides, in order to reach a final solution which, as it is estimated, will largely depend on Germany.

According to him, he believes that it is questionable whether international forces and internal Kosovo-Albanian divisions will enable that.
He points out that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, is the only person in the region who has the strength and desire to reach a good solution to this problem.
