Funds sought for renovation of Paris uni's 'Greek House'
A campaign by the Fondation Hellenique to renovate 80 rooms in its dormitory at the International University Campus in Paris has raised enough funding from private donors to complete work on 50 of the units, but still has some way to go before the 3.7-million-euro project can be completed.
Fun Run | Athens | January 1
If the customary holiday meal and TV countdown is not your cup of tea, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) will be ringing in the New Year with its annual Fun Run, starting at 4 minutes past midnight on the morning of Tuesday, January 1. The 4K run takes place on the grounds of the SNFCC, which have been dolled up for the holidays with fairy lights and other decorations.

Sophia Vari | Athens | To October 31
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in southern Athens is currently hosting an exhibition of works by Greek artist Sophia Vari. "Forms & Contradictions," comprising 19 monumental black-and-white sculptures, is on display in the SNFCC's Agora area.

US author Jeffrey Eugenides in town next week
The Pulitzer Prize winning Greek-American author Jeffrey Eugenides will visit Athens on September 27 as part of the Athens 2018 World Book Capital celebrations organized by the Municipality of Athens with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and the US Embassy in Athens.

SNF to support Greek fire department with 25 mln grant
A week since more than 90 people were killed after Greece's worst wildfire in a decade hit the seaside resort of Mati, east of Athens, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) announced Monday it would support the work of the Greek fire department with a 25 million euro grant "in order to contribute to the difficult work of the men and women… fighting for the protection of the country's residents
SNF Run to close off major Athens streets on Saturday
Major thoroughfares will be sealed off on Saturday in the center of Athens and the suburb of Kallithea due to the "SNF Run - Running into the Future" races organized by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
The measures will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 10.40 p.m. with major avenues, including Syngrou, Vassileos Georgiou, Vassileos Alexandrou and Kallirois closed to traffic.
Lianne La Havas | Athens | June 22
Grammy nominated, neo-folk artist Lianne La Havas will be performing at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center's (SNFCC) Summer Nostos Festival on Friday, June 22. Awarded the iTunes Album of the Year in 2012 and two Grammy nominations, La Havas promises an atmosphere-packed live show, starting at 10 p.m. Admission is free of charge.
