Athens residents welcome summer with outdoor concerts
With a great party, featuring Locomondo, one of the most successful bands in Greece, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) welcomed the summer.
More than 10,000 people showed up on Saturday evening at the Great Lawn of the park in Faliro Athens by the seaside to dance and sing with their favorite Greek band.
Education forum held at SNFCC
Over 500 participants enjoyed an exchange of ideas at a two-day forum at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center which focused on the development of educational systems that will enable students to become productive, responsible, civic-minded global citizens, ready to contribute proactively to societies.

Piraeus-Acropolis bus service for cruise passengers returns
The X80 express bus connecting the cruise ship terminal at Piraeus port with the Acropolis in Athens and Syntagma Square resumes daily services on Thursday.
The service will be available every 35-40 minutes, starting from the Akti Xaveriou terminal at Piraeus port at 7 a.m.
Niarchos Foundation president awarded for contribution to Greece
The president of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), Andreas Dracopoulos, was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Honor, Greece's highest civilian honor, by President Prokopis Pavlopoulos on Monday , in a ceremony held at the Presidential Mansion in Athens.
Stavros Niarchos Foundation pledges millions for hospitals
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras (left) and Andreas Dracopoulos, president of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, signed a memorandum of cooperation Wednesday aimed at upgrading the Greek public health sector. The agreement is for a grant of 250 million euros, which is to go toward building and equipping a children's hospital in Thessaloniki and new buildings for hospitals in Athens and Komotini.

Greece's government has signed an agreement with a charitable foundation to build and equip hospitals in the cash-strapped country.
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras signed the agreement with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Wednesday for a grant valued up to 250 million euros ($307 million.)
