Movement for Change to announce council on Friday
Fofi Genimata, the leader of the new center-left party, Movement for Change, said on Wednesday that the members of its political council will be announced on Friday.
Kathimerini understands that the council will be small and will include the main proponents for the new party's creation and the candidates that ran for its leadership.

Name of center-left grouping to be Movement for Change
The name of the new center-left party comprising PASOK, To Potami and other social democratic forces will be Movement for Change, it emerged on Tuesday following a meeting in Parliament between PASOK leader Fofi Gennimata and the head of Potami, Stavros Theodorakis.
The name will be in use until the grouping's first congress, when it is expected that it will be rubber-stamped.
Gennimata heads to Sunday runoff as the hot favorite
Democratic Alignment (PASOK) chief Fofi Gennimata heads into the runoff election against Nikos Androulakis for the leadership of the new center-left party as the favorite after her emphatic victory in Sunday's first round.
Gennimata won 42.76 percent of the vote, 17 points ahead of Androulakis - a member of the European Parliament and a former PASOK party secretary.

Giorgos Kaminis and Stavros Theodorakis saw their political ambitions go up in smoke on Sunday night following the first round of the vote to elect a new leader for a party that still has no name, no manifesto, no clear ideology, and no concrete strategy about who it will follow and who it will leave behind.
