Popular crossover artist Kostis Maraveyas and his multifaceted band will be performing an uplifting, funky holiday program live from the main concert hall of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center on December 28, starting at 8.30 p.m. The concert will be live-streamed by the SNFCC, free of charge on its Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Greece's largest wildlife refuge appeals for funding

ANIMA, the country's largest wildlife rescue center, will be faced with a battle for its survival in 2021, unless a way is found to finance its activities.

The Athens-based organization has treated more than 45,000 animals over the past 15 years. And despite being hard hit by financial problems since the beginning of the year, it continues to operate seven days a week.

Winter landscapes usher in festive season

The two artists created a spiral of a thousand lights, seeking to capture intense emotions such as love and sadness.

Charity Fun Run | Online | June 15-21

Not wanting to scrap its increasingly popular early summer Fun Run, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) is taking it online, inviting participants to run a 5 km route of their own choice between June 15 and 21. The cost of the participation fee/donation is 5 euros, which will be tripled by the SNFCC so that the hospital of choice receives 15 euros for each participant.

SNFCC reopening, visitors must pre-register for all events

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in the southern Athens neighborhood of Kallithea is to reopen to the public from next week, though visitors must reserve their tickets for events online so that numbers can be restricted in line with social distancing guidelines, the center said in a statement on Wednesday.
