"Those informing us are either withholding information or not reporting data from which we can draw useful conclusions." The claim refers to the pandemic. In fact, it refers to the pandemic in Greece and not, for example, in Turkey, where the country's biggest medical association has repeatedly claimed that the government has been making the numbers look better than they are.

There is a long tradition in this country that has come at an incredible cost. It is one in which people who are deemed "disagreeable" are taunted and mocked when they dare to express a heretical view on a matter of significance. 

This has happened in the past with academics like John Spraos, former ministers Stefanos Manos and Tassos Yiannitsis and many others. 

Twenty years after he founded the Liberals Party and 10 since establishing its successor, Drasi, Stefanos Manos is still pondering the present and the future.

Discussions regarding the Greek center-right party abound these days. The prevailing point of view, more or less, is that someone ought to revamp it.
