Bulgaria has its first medal from the Olympic Games in Tokyo! It was won by our sport shooting athlete Antoaneta Kostadinova, who won silver in the 10 meter air pistol discipline.
For Antoaneta Kostadinova, this is the first medal in her third participation in the Olympic Games.

Olympic Glory Alley Opened in Bulgaria
An Alley of Bulgaria's Olympic Glory was officially opened on Friday in the town of Sveti Vlas on the Black Sea coast of the country, the Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) said.
The alley, which is located on one of the busiest streets, contains the bas-reliefs of the 48 Bulgarian athletes who have won 52 Olympic gold medals for Bulgaria, the BOC said in a press release.

Bulgaria to Send 24 Athletes to Buenos Aires Youth Olympics
SOFIA, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Bulgaria will send 24 athletes to the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires next month, the Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) said here on Tuesday.
The 24 athletes will compete in 14 sports, the BOC said.
BOC's president Stefka Kostadinova will lead the Bulgarian delegation.
30 Years Since Bulgaria's Athlete Stefka Kostadinova Set a New High Jump World Record
30 years ago on August 30, 1987, Bulgaria's athlete Stefka Kostadinova set a new high jump world record at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
The Bulgarian athlete jumped 209cm thus beating her own personal best by 1 cm.
Many athletes, including Kostadinova herself, have been trying to beat that record in the past 30 years, but the record still stands.
Stefka Kostadinova Re-Elected As BOC Chairwoman
Stefka Kostadinova has been re-elected as chairwoman of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) for a fourth consecutive mandate.
The record-holder in the high jump for women, who will turn 52 on Saturday, was the only candidate for the post. She received 49 votes "for" and two votes "against".
