Gov't moving towards opening primary schools
The government is moving towards the opening of primary schools if current epidemiological data continues on a downward trend, according its spokesman Stelios Petsas on Friday, who said the most probable date will be June 1. Kindergartens and nurseries may also open, he added.

Greek prodigy pens 'Isolation Waltz' for a world in lockdown
Hunker down at home a bit longer is the message a Greek pianist has sent to a world in coronavirus lockdown with his latest composition, the "Isolation Waltz" - and he's just seven years old.
Stelios Kerasidis first performed in public at the age of three, and has played in New York's Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Kazantzidis Tribute | Salamina | August 25
A number of Greek artists will be coming together at the Evripideio Theater on the island of Salamina on Sunday, August 25, to celebrate the life and music of Stelios Kazantzidis, 18 years after his death. A leading singer of Greek laiko music, he collaborated with many of Greece's foremost composers, including Manolis Chiotis, Manos Hadjidakis, Mikis Theodorakis and Stavros Xarhakos.

Patriarch holds seaside service for victims of Mati fire
Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomaios casts a bouquet of flowers into the sea from the Argyra Akti beach in eastern Attica Thursday, during a service for those who died in the nearby village of Mati in last July's wildfires. The service was attended by the mayors of Rafina and Marathon, Evangelos Bournous and Ilias Psinakis, as well as victims' relatives.
Four injured as hooligans attack venue of Greek soccer league draw
About 30 helmeted hooligans attacked the Athens restaurant where the draw for the Greek second division football league took place resulting in four injuries and damages to facilities, parked cars and media equipment.
One news photographer was taken to hospital with cuts and bruises late Monday while three others were treated by ambulance crews.
