Cyborg computer with living brain organoid aces machine learning tests
Indiana University researchers grew a brain “organoid” and mounted it on a silicon chip
Scientists grow whole model of human embryo, without sperm or egg
The ambition for embryo models is to provide an ethical way of understanding the earliest moments of our lives
Cells from pregnancy used to grow mini organs
Scientists have created miniorgans from cells floating in the fluid that surrounds a fetus in the womb - an advance they believe could open up new areas of prenatal medicine.
Miniorgans, or " organoids," are tiny simplified structures that can be used to test new medical treatments or study how the real organs they mimic work, whether they are healthy or diseased.

Turkish scientist proves transplanted brain cells can function
A Turkish scientist has proven that human brain cells transplanted into a mouse combine with the mouse brain, establish functional connections and respond to external stimuli.
Conducting their studies at the University of California in the U.S., Duygu Kuzum and her team managed to produce brain organoids with stem cells taken from human skin and transplant them into mice.
High-flying experiment: Do stem cells grow better in space?
The experiment is the latest research project that involves shooting stem cells into space…
Scientists use stem cells to create synthetic mouse embryos
Scientists have created "synthetic" mouse embryos from stem cells without a dad's sperm or a mom's egg or womb.
The lab-created embryos mirror a natural mouse embryo up to eight days after fertilization, containing the same structures, including one like a beating heart.
Anti-aging breakthrough dials up fatty acid signaling to boost longevity
A new study has uncovered a new platform for cells to talk to one another, which appears to play a role in the aging process
