VRANJE - Speaking to reporters after meeting with North Macedonian counterpart Stevo Pendarovski at the monastery of Prohor Pcinjski near Vranje, southern Serbia, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said the extremely good relations between the two countries had been confirmed at the meeting.

The two presidents will first visit the monastery of St Prohor Pcinjski - where they will lay a wreath - and then hold a meeting.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will on Wednesday receive North Macedonian counterpart Stevo Pendarovski, who will be on a working visit to Serbia.

Vucic and Pendarovski will first visit the monastery of St Prohor Pcinjski at 12.10 pm, the press office of the Serbian president announced in a statement on Tuesday.

The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, stated that in the last two years, he has not had a single constructive conversation with his Bulgarian colleague, Rumen Radev.

North Macedonia's president described the Western Balkans on Tuesday as a soft spot in Europe's security architecture and ripe for potential influence campaigns by Russia.

President Stevo Pendarovski on Friday said that despite an ongoing spike of COVID-19 infections, there was no "necessity" in prolonging the state of emergency that has been in place since March 18.

North Macedonia's president has extended the state of emergency due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic for two weeks, his cabinet said on May 15.

Health Minister Venko Filipce requested the state of emergency be extended for 30 days, but after consultations with experts President Stevo Pendarovski decided to extended it for a shorter period.
