Athens Stock Exchange records another decline

Equity prices were dropping again on Thursday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) for fourth day in a row with the basic share price index down 5.11%, standing at 426 points.

The heaviest losses were recorded in banks, financial services  and constructions.

The stock market is moving today focusing on Eurogroup decisions and foreign stock markets.

Chinese stock market crash affects Athens Stock Exchange

There is great concern among the investors and analysts who talk about a second financial crisis like the one of 2008, after Chinese stock markets shutting down for a second time within a week.

About 2.5 trillion dollars are estimated to have been lost in 2016 (until yesterday) from global equity markets without counting the current fall.

State-owned companies to be reviewed to decide which should be restructured, listed

The Government will continue restructuring the state-owned companies and reviewing its portfolio, to decide which of them could be listed on the stock exchange, Treasury head Stefan Nanu said in a conference organized by the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Tuesday.
