Greek 4-hour air traffic control strike on Wed.

Travel chaos is expected on Wednesday with air traffic control strikes between 2 a.m. and 6 p.m. (local time) on Wednesday.

The strikes – called at short notice – are part of the workers efforts to upgrade their air traffic control system to EU levels as well as for more staff. Controllers are said to complain that they often bring in planes using eyes rather than radars.

Air Traffic Controllers in Romania To Go on 2-Hour Strike Wednesday Noon

Air traffic controllers in Romania plan to hold a two-hour warning strike on Wednesday.

The strike will be held between 11:00 and 13:00 on Wednesday.

Talks between the air traffic controllers' union and the management of Romania's Air Traffic Services Administration (ROMATSA) on a new collective labor agreement collapsed on Monday, according to local news portal ziare.com.

Spain air traffic controllers begin four-day strike

Air traffic controllers in Spain on June 8 launched a staggered four-day strike that could affect around 5,300 flights in the world's third most visited country.

The staggered strike this week was called by the controllers' Usca union for Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday between two blocks of time: 0800-1000 GMT and 1600-1800 GMT.

Turkish car maker Tofa? has announced some of the details of the concessions given to its protesting workers in a written statement late May 24. 

Production activities resumed in Tofa?, a joint venture of Italy?s Fiat and Turkey?s Koç Holding, as of May 22 after a week of labor protests.
