Salaries of Government Employees in Bulgaria will Rise by 10%
The Government on 9th of January adopted amendments to the Ordinance on the Salaries of Civil Servants. The change is based on the "pay according to performance" principle: each civil servant will receive remuneration in line with the results achieved, reports BNT.
The salaries of civil servants will be increased by 10% since January this year.

125 People Spent the Night in the Centre for Homeless People in Sofia
125 people were accommodated last night in the crisis centre for homeless people in the Zaharna Fabrika neighbourhood, its manager Yordanka Temelkova told Focus News Agency. She said that last night they had an emergency case in the centre, but there was no need to hospitalise the man.
Athens opens heated venue for homeless
The City of Athens announced on Wednesday it has opened a heated venue where the homeless can warm up during this latest cold snap. The room is located at 66 Sophocleous Street and will remain open until 10 a.m. on December 29, it said.
