Two Bulgarian Ministers to Inspect Construction of Struma Motorway

Minister of Regional Development Lilyana Pavlova and Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski will inspect the progress of the construction of Struma motorway on Saturday.

There are two segments in the 55-kilometer construction - one connects Dupnitsa and Blagoevgrad and the other, called lot 4 - Sandanski and the border with Greece at Kulata.

Toll Fee for Cars on Bulgarian Motorways to Amount to BGN 0.10/km

Bulgarian Regional Development Minister Lilyana Pavlova has informed that the motorway toll for cars will amount to around BGN 0.10 per kilometer.

In a Wednesday interview for Nova TV, Pavlova noted that traffic analyses were yet to be conducted, with the estimates to be ready by the end of the year.

Lot 2 of Bulgaria’s Struma Motorway to Be Ready by end-October 2015

The deadline for the completion of construction works at Lot 2 of the Struma motorway is October 2015, according to Bulgarian Regional Development Minister Lilyana Pavlova.

On Sunday, Pavlova conducted a sudden inspection of the progress of the 38km motorway section connecting Dupnitsa and Blagoevgrad.

'Struma', 'Hemus' Highway To Be Completed In 4 Years

Bulgaria's "Struma" and "Hemus" highways will be completed in four years, said Regional Development Minister Lilyana Pavlova in an interview for the 24 Chasa daily.

„There is money from the Transport and Infrastructure Programme only for Lot 3 of Struma highway - the Kresna gorge and the tunnels," Pavlova said.

Code Red Issued over Rains in Regions near Bulgaria-Greece Border

Rains and high waters of rivers expected in the south of Bulgaria and the north of Greece have prompted the Environment Ministry in Sofia to issue a warning for Saturday.

Weather forecasts predict heavy showers varying between 15-25 liters per square meter in the Rila-Rhodope region and 1-5 liters in Bulgaria's north.
