The European Court of Human Rights, ECHR in Strasbourg ruled on Tuesday that Turkey violated the rights of Hidayet Karaca, who was an executive at a major media group executive affiliated with exiled cleric Fethullah Gulen, for unfairly keeping him in detention for too long before his trial.

Türkiye does not ask the United States to allow Ankara to return to the F-35 fighter jet program but just wants reimbursement of its money already paid for the project, the Turkish foreign minister has said on May 7.

The Istanbul Municipality has brought the medallion depicting portraits of Ottoman Sultan Mehmet II made by Italian artist Costanza de Ferrara in 1481 from the U.K. to the country.

The municipality earlier purchased the medallion for 38,000 pounds at an auction in London.

The report, "Algorithmic persecution in Turkey's post-coup crackdown: The FETO-Meter system" says more than 20,000 military personnel have been dismissed since a failed coup attempt in 2016 on the basis of algorithms.

After the Turkish ambassador to Skopje, Hasan Mehmet Sekizkok, on Wednesday said that his country wants 86 alleged "Gulenists" deported from North Macedonia, 20 of whom it wants to be extradited to Turkey, authorities in Skopje responded that they are working on it.

The bill was passed by the votes of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's ruling Justice and Development Party, AKP and by MPs from his far-right ally, the Nationalist Movement Party, MHP.

Prosecutors in the cities of Izmir and Ankara ordered the arrests based on information from the Turkish National Intelligence Agency, alleging that the suspects have links to US-based cleric Fethullah Gulen, who is accused by Ankara of mounting a failed coup in 2016.
