Romanian tennis player Monica Niculescu, second seeded, won the ITF tournament of Marseille, with total prizes worth 100,000 dollars.

Tsakonas wins 200 meters in Rome!
Greek sprinter Lykourgos Tsefanos Tsakonas of Greece celebrated winning the 200m men’s event during the Golden Gala IAAF Diamond League at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, Italy, on Thursday. He ran the distance in 20.09 seconds becoming the second-fastest after Kostas Kenderis who set the national record at 19.85 seconds.

Nadal still upbeat for rest of the year
Rafael Nadal believes he can recover from his crushing French Open quarterfinal defeat by Novak Djokovic and return even stronger.
The Spaniard, who turned 29 on June 3 when he was beaten 7-5, 6-3, 6-1 by world number one Djokovic, only his second defeat in 11 years at Roland Garros, said he was no longer suffering from the physical problems that affected him last year.

Romanian-Slovenian pair formed by Horia Tecau and Katarina Srebotnik has qualified for the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles event of the Roland Garros tournament, the second Grand Slam tournament of the year, on Saturday, after defeating Indian-Swiss pair Leander Paes/Martina Hingis, seeded eighth in the event, by 6-7 (6), 6-3, 10-6.
Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov Suffers Heavy Defeat, Ousted at Opening of Roland Garros
Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov suffered a heavy defeat and was ousted in the first round of Roland Garros on Tuesday.
Dimitrov was defeated by Jack Sock from the USA with 6:7 (7), 2:6, 3:6, failing to achieve a break, daily Dnevnik reports.
Tecau-Rojer advances to men's doubles final of Nice Open 2015
Romanian Horia Tecau and Dutch Jean-Julien Rojer, the main favourites, on Thursday advanced as a double to the men's doubles event final of the 494,310-US-dollar Nice Open 2015 tennis tournament, after defeating Argentinean double Guillermo Duran/Maximo Gonzales 6-3, 7-5 in one hour and 12 minutes of play.

Serbian water polo player suspended over drug use
The Water Polo Association of Serbia (VSS) has confirmed it was notified by FINA about Nikola Radjen's temporary suspension for use of illegal substances.
Radjen, a player of Olympiakos from Greece, tested positive for cocaine after the match between Serbia and Spain in Madrid on February 17 and FINA notified the VSS of his suspension on May 6.

Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, ranked second in the world, has failed to defeat Spaniard Carla Suarez Navarro in the next to last stage of the 2,428,490-dollar tournament on Saturday, being defeated by 2-6, 6-3, 7-5.

Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov Proceeds to Second Round in Rome
Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov proceeded on Monday to the second round of the Internazionali BNL d'Italia in Rome.
Dimitrov defeated Jerzy Janowicz from Poland with 6:3, 7:6 (4) in a match, which lasted just over an hour and a half.
The Bulgarian achieved one break in the first set and prevailed in the tiebreak of the second set, claiming the final victory.
