Vyatchanin beats state record, ensures A norm for Rio 2016
MESA - New member of the Serbian swimming team Arkady Arkadyevich Vyatchanin of Russia set a new state record for 100 metres backstroke at the Arena Pro Swim Series in Mesa (53.84) and thus met the A norm for the Rio Olympics.
Djokovic eases into Monte Carlo semis
MONTE CARLO - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the current world number one in men's tennis, is through to the semi-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters tournament after beating Marin Cilic of Croatia 6-0, 6-3 on Friday.
Djokovic won one of his most convincing victories against Cilic in just over an hour and now has a 12-0 head-to-head record against him.

Djokovic sets up Monte-Carlo QF against Cilic
MONTE-CARLO - World No. 1 Novak Djokovic advanced to the quarter-finals of the Monte-Carlo Masters after brushing past Andreas Heider-Mauer of Austria 6-4, 6-0 on Thursday.
Djokovic took less than an hour to defeat the current world No. 52, successfully continuing his campaign in the tournament he won two years ago.

Bulgaria's Dimitrov Overwhelmingly Defeats Wawrinka in Monte Carlo
Bulgarian top tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has made it to Monte Carlo quarterfinals after securing a smooth victory against his Swiss opponent Stanislas Wawrinka.
In a 55-minute match of a Masters tournament in Monte Carlo, Dimitrov triumphed 6:1, 6:2 against Wawrinka, who had won the tournament last year.

SHANGHAI - World's best tennis player Novak Djokovic won the Laureus World Sports award for the second time in his career for the world's best athlete of the year, officials released at a ceremony in Shanghai.

Troicki through to Monte Carlo second round
MONTE CARLO - Serbia's tennis player Viktor Troicki reached the second round at the Monte Carlo Masters on Tuesday, after defeating Martin Klizan of Slovakia 7-6 (7-5), 5-7, 6-2 at the start of the tournament.
In the previous five matches against Klizan, the Serbian tennis player clinched four victories.

Grgic meets Olympic standard for Rio Games
CHANGWON - Serbian sports shooter Dimitrije Grgic has finished fourth in the men's air rifle event at the World Cup in Changwon, securing an Olympic berth for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games.
Scoring 159.2 points in the final, he fell short of winning a medal, finishing behind Jin Jong-oh of South Korea, Ye Tun Naung of Myanmar and Jitu Rai of India.

Rowing-Serbian rowers win six medals at regatta in Croatia
ZAGREB - Serbian rowers won six medals at an international rowing regatta in Croatia on Saturday.
Milos Vasic and Nenad Bedjik in the coxless pair and Andrija Sljukic in the U23 single sculls events won gold medals, and Goran Jagar and Nikola Stojic in the coxless pair and Milos Stanojevic in the lightweight single skulls won silver medals.
Shooting-Maksimovic wins "visa" for 2016 Rio Olympics
CHANGWON - London Olympic shooting vice-champion Ivana Maksimovic won a "visa" for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, after winning a silver medal at the 2015 ISSF World Cup in the Korean city of Changwon Saturday to meet the qualification standard.
