Djokovic eases into Monte Carlo semis

MONTE CARLO - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the current world number one in men's tennis, is through to the semi-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters tournament after beating Marin Cilic of Croatia 6-0, 6-3 on Friday.

Djokovic won one of his most convincing victories against Cilic in just over an hour and now has a 12-0 head-to-head record against him.

Bulgaria's Dimitrov Overwhelmingly Defeats Wawrinka in Monte Carlo

Bulgarian top tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has made it to Monte Carlo quarterfinals after securing a smooth victory against his Swiss opponent Stanislas Wawrinka.

In a 55-minute match of a Masters tournament in Monte Carlo, Dimitrov triumphed 6:1, 6:2 against Wawrinka, who had won the tournament last year.

Grgic meets Olympic standard for Rio Games

CHANGWON - Serbian sports shooter Dimitrije Grgic has finished fourth in the men's air rifle event at the World Cup in Changwon, securing an Olympic berth for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games.

Scoring 159.2 points in the final, he fell short of winning a medal, finishing behind Jin Jong-oh of South Korea, Ye Tun Naung of Myanmar and Jitu Rai of India.

Rowing-Serbian rowers win six medals at regatta in Croatia

ZAGREB - Serbian rowers won six medals at an international rowing regatta in Croatia on Saturday.

Milos Vasic and Nenad Bedjik in the coxless pair and Andrija Sljukic in the U23 single sculls events won gold medals, and Goran Jagar and Nikola Stojic in the coxless pair and Milos Stanojevic in the lightweight single skulls won silver medals.
