Hotel Managers and the Union of Owners in Sunny Beach Insist For Working Meeting With PM Boyko Borisov

Hotel managers, members of the Union of Owners in Sunny Beach, requested an urgent working meeting with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and representatives of all institutions involved with Bulgarian tourism. This became clear from a letter to the media from the Union of Owners in the resort, reported bTV.

Bulgarian Minister of Tourism: 'This Summer We Expect a Growth in Tourism Between 7 and 10%'

''Over 3.3 million foreign tourists have visited the country since the beginning of the year'', Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova told BTV's morning show.

The forecast for a 7-10% rise this year have been confirmed, as the increase in January-June was around 8%, the minister further said.

Young British Tourist is in Coma after Falling from a Balcony

26-year old tourist from the UK is in medical coma after falling from a balcony on the sixth floor of a hotel in Sunny Beach, 24 Chasa reports.

The young woman arrived on vacation in Bulgaria with her boyfriend on 27th July. The incident happened on 31th July. The injured woman has severe head injury and is in intensive care in the hospital in Burgas, according to Darik. 

Former Police Officer Shoots English Tourists in Sunny Beach

A former police officer used his gun against two English tourists in the Black sea resort Sunny Beach. One of them is wounded.

Before that, the man hit the tourists who were on their bicycles, which is the main reason of following the incident between the former policeman to use his weapon, reported bTV. 

Rescuers Have Found the Body of the Girl Who Drowned in Bulgaria's Sunny Beach

Rescuers have found the body of a girl from the Czech Republic, who drowned in Bulgaria's Sunny Beach resort on Thursday, Czech television NOVA reported on Saturday, citing the Czech ambassador to Bulgaria Dušan Štrauch, quoted by Radio Praha.

The 11-year-old girl, reportedly of Vietnamese origin, drowned after she had been carried away by a strong underwater currant.

New Casualty on the Black Sea Coast

A Russian tourist has drowned on the central beach in Ravda, announced the Interior Ministry in Burgas. The incident happened yesterday. The victim is 61 years old.

This is a second victim of the sea in last couple of days in the area of Nessebar. Yesterday it became clear that a 61-year-old Czech has drowned in Sunny Beach.
