Amazon has officially launched the world's first automated supermarket where neither cashiers nor sellers are available, the BBC said.
The store is located in Seattle. To enter it, you need a free Amazon mobile application that is recognized by a scanner at the entrance. The buyer enters the store, takes everything he wants, and leaves.

Offers wipe out most gains from rise in supermarket sales
The supermarket sector is showing signs of stagnation, as the avalanche of offers in the battle for market share eats into the small benefits from the relative increase in sales volume.
Researchers Nielsen expect the year to end in the black, but only just, as in the first 10 months of 2017 the sector saw sales grow by just 0.4 percent on the previous year.

German supermarket edits cross out of photo of Greek church
German supermarket chain Lidl is being criticized for editing a photo showing a Greek church by removing the Orthodox cross on top of it.
The photograph is used in packaging of the Eridanous range of Greek products, and the company has responded by saying that they did this wishing to be "religiously neutral."
