Bulgaria’s Cabinet Approves Purchase of 1 Million Face-Protection Masks from China
Bulgaria's cabinet has approved a contract with the China National Pharmaceutical Group for delivery of personal protective equipment- face protection masks type KN95. According to the contract, the Bulgarian Ministry of Health will buy 1 million medical masks type KN95 to the tune of EUR 1.67 million, BNR reported.
Aegean Airlines flight arrives in Athens with 1.7 million surgical masks from China
An Aegean Airlines flight arrived at Athens International Airport early on Monday with 1.7 million surgical masks and other materials to help the efforts of the Greek state in responding to the coronavirus pandemic.
Gendarmerie facility starts mask production
A facility belonging to the Gendarmerie Forces has commenced the production of protective masks as part of the country's efforts to fight against the coronavirus pandemic, which has already killed more than 100 people in Turkey.
The mask production, which began following a request from the Interior Ministry, is taking place at an atelier in Ankara.

Fraport Greece, Copelouzos Group, Stoiximan donate thousands of surgical masks
Fraport Greece and Copelouzos Group, in a joint donation shared equally by the two companies, on Thursday announced that they will give 500,000 surgical masks to support the Greek health system in its battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Profiteering on disinfectants and masks finds fertile ground
Face masks and antiseptic liquids and gels, mainly those sold by pharmacies and online stores, are at the focus of complaints about profiteering. The phenomenon of excessive prices observed in recent days not only concerns surgical masks but also welding masks, as even these have been selling like hot cakes.
Prices of goods in high demand being monitored
The price of surgical masks and other commodities that have come in high demand as a result of the coronavirus outbreak will be put under the scrutiny by the Competition Commission to prevent profiteering.
Apart from masks, the products being monitored, according to the watchdog, include disinfectants, long-life milk, rice and pasta.

Shortage of Medical Masks in Germany
Their demand has increased dramatically due to the coronavirus infection.
Surgical masks are depleted in Germany and pharmacies hardly receive new deliveries, BTA reported.
"There are significant delays and delivery difficulties," said the head of the German Wholesale Pharmaceutical Association.
