Support Swells for Macedonian Pupils' Protest Rally

Protesting school pupils in Macedonia, angered by plans to introduce externally controlled state-run graduation exams, have urged sympathisers to join their central protest planned for Thursday.

The protest rally, dubbed "Stop the bad reforms in education", comes after a boycott of classes that began in early April.

Vucic and Aliyev: Determined to strengthen ties

BAKU - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic started Tuesday his two-day official visit to Azerbaijan by a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, at which the two officials pointed to determination to strengthen mutual relations.

Vucic and Aliyev discussed cooperation in the field of infrastructure, military industry, energy and agriculture.

Chinese company starts works at residential project in Craiova

Prime Minister Victor Ponta and Chinese Ambassador Xu Feihong attended on Tuesday the opening of a works site in Craiova, where a Chinese company builds a residential neighbourhood.

The project is a pilot investment in Romania, the first signed by a local administration with a Chinese company.

Turkey interested in Serbia's energy, tourism, textiles

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade Rasim Ljajic and Turkish Minister of Customs and Trade Nurettin Canikli agreed on Thursday that there is a lot of room to expand the scope of the two countries' exchange of goods, adding that the total exchange sum could soon reach EUR 1 billion.
