Turkey sees mixed picture for sectoral confidence in May
Turkey's services and retail trade sectors posted declines in confidence in May, while the construction sector saw an increase, the country's statistical authority reported on May 25.
Industrial production up for 11th month in row
Industrial production in Turkey improved by 0.7% month-on-month in March and 16.6% annually, the country's official statistical department said on May 11.
The index has been posting monthly increases since May 2020 and rising annually since June 2020, according to data by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK)

Manufacturing PMI down in April
Turkey's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector dropped to 50.4 in April, a monthly business survey revealed on May 3.
The PMI decreased by 2.2 points from 52.6 in March, according to the report by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry prepared in collaboration with London-based global data firm IHS Markit.

NSI Poll: Business Climate in Bulgaria Shows Slight Improvement
A regular monthly poll by the National Statistical Institute has found that managers saw the business climate in Bulgaria in April largely unchanged compared with March.
The monthly polls earlier this year had seen slight improvements in the business climate in Bulgaria, after the indicator plunged in the first half of 2020 against the background of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Turkish manufacturing sector continued to recover in March with a headline rate hovering above the threshold level for the tenth month in a row, according to figures released on April 1.

Bulgaria: NSI Reports Improvement of Business Climate in March
In March, the country's overall economic situation has been improving for the third consecutive month since the beginning of 2021, making up for the deterioration at the end of the previous year, according to the latest survey of the National Statistical Institute (NSI).
Manufacturing PMI down in February
Turkey's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector dropped to 51.7 in February, a monthly business survey revealed on March 1.
The PMI decreased by 2.7 points from 54.4 in January, according to the report by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, prepared in collaboration with London-based global data firm IHS Markit.
