Death toll from seasonal flu rises to 60
Since the start of the 2019-20 flu season in October, 60 people in Greece have died after catching the virus - seven in the last week alone.

It has been confirmed for B92: Winter break is extended
Winter break will be extended by seven days, and it will last until February 24, throughout Serbia.
A recommendation from the Ministry of Health on extending vacation was given to reduce the spread of the flu virus, as a flu epidemic was reported in Belgrade.
Push for flu vaccinations
Amid a spike in serious flu cases, Greece's National Health Organization (EODY) has underlined the importance of people getting the flu vaccine.
The warning comes despite the revelation that, of the serious flu cases recorded to date, one in three had been vaccinated. The death toll from the flu virus since October rose to 38 last week, according to EODY.

Greece confirms first swine fever case in Serres
Greek health authorities were on alert on Thursday after confirming the first African swine fever (ASF) case at a small pig farm in the region of Serres, northeastern Greece.
The Ministry of Agriculture announced on Wednesday that the disease was recorded in a family business.

BNR: Flu Epidemic Declared in One-Third of Bulgaria
The incidence of flu in Bulgaria has reached 227 per 10,000. An epidemic has been declared in one-third of the regions in the country, said chief national health inspector Angel Kunchev, BNR reported.
