39 dead from influenza, Turkish health minister says
Health Minister Mehmet Müezzino?lu announced on March 23 a total of 39 people have died from influenza, some 30 of them being infected by the H1N1 virus, also known as the swine flu.
Health Ministry: 360 test positive for swine flu
Health Minister Mehmet Müezzino?lu said on March 21 a total of 360 patients out of more than 4,300 samples have tested positive for swine flu, also known as H1N1.
"A total of 360 patients tested positive for H1N1," said Müezzino?lu, adding the ministry has been closely monitoring developments regarding the virus.

16 Turks killed by swine flu in past 15 months
A top health official in Turkey has announced a total of 16 people out of 170 known cases have been died from swine flu in 2014 and 2015, as the H1N1 virus makes a comeback throughout the country.
"The flu season will be over in one month, but we will increase the precautions we take," said Health Ministry Undersecretary Prof. Dr. Eyüp Gümü? during a press conference on March 17.

One dead from H1N1 in western Turkey
A 53-year-old woman died from the H1N1 virus, also known as swine flu, in the western province of Kocaeli on March 15, raising concerns over the increasing number of dangerous flu cases in the country.
The woman, identified as Güler Akba?, was receiving treatment at Farabi State Hospital after being hospitalized on March 13 due to fever.

BELGRADE -- A five-month pregnant woman has died in the Clinical Center of Serbia (KBS) where she was treated for the H1N1 flu virus, the clinic's director has confirmed.
Dr. Mijomir Pelemis told the daily Politika that the 33-year-old died despite the efforts to save her.
