At least 780 people, including 350 foreigners, remain in detention some of whom have been convicted for suspected links to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), according to the Turkish Justice Ministry.

The Justice Ministry released a report on Jan. 11 saying a total of 725 people, who are suspected of being ISIL members, were currently in prison.

The Turkish state has lost its patience and its stimulus for accession to the EU, said Turkish President Erdogan in a statement to regional authorities in Ankara.

BELGRADE - Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that the Turkish Army entered Syria to end the rule of President Bashar Assad, whom he accused of terrorism and causing the deaths of thousands.

In September, 1,276 homes were sold to foreigners in Turkey. Among the top five foreign buyers were three Arab nationalities: Iraqis, Saudis and Kuwaitis. The non-Arabs were the Russians and the British. Together, these five nationalities bought half of the real estate sold to foreigners, according to official data.

The Education Ministry plans to temporarily employ 4,200 teachers for Syrian students in Turkey to teach the Turkish language and integrate them into the education system.

The Turkish Interior Ministry has updated its list of individuals linked to terrorist organizations, adding Adil Öksüz, one of major suspects of the July 15 coup attempt, and putting a 4 million-Turkish Lira bounty on his head.

Another 36 suspects were also placed on the list for alleged links to Gülen.

At least 35 Syrians were killed and many more wounded in a blast on Oct. 6 at a camp at the town of Atmeh near the border with Turkey.

A blast occurred at around 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 6 at the refugee tent camp in Atmeh, which lies across the border from Turkey's southern district of Reyhanlı, which killed at least 35 Syrians and wounded multiple others, Doğan News Agency reported. 

Over 50 percent of Turkish people regard the EU-Turkey migrant deal negatively, while some 21.7 percent said they thought the deal was a positive thing, according to a recent survey by Kadir Has University's Turkey Research Center. 

Local residents and Syrian refugees have begun fleeing the southeastern province of Kilis in Turkey, as a wave of fear eclipsed the border town amid persistent rocket firings from Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)-held territories across the border. A total of 18 civilians have been killed by ISIL rockets since January.

Two shopkeepers accused of savagely beating two teenage Syrian refugees with clubs were detained in Turkey's southern province of Hatay on April 6.

Security camera footage, which provoked outrage on social media, showed two men racing out of their shops in Hatay after two teens took several loaves of flatbread from a display case.
