Artillery shell fired from Syria lands in Turkey's south, no casualties reported

An artillery shell fired from an area controlled by the Syrian regime landed near a rural area in the Yayladağı district of the southern province of Hatay on the afternoon of Sept. 21, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

The artillery shell hit a rural area near the Pulluyazı military post of the 3rd Border Battalion Commandship.

Court arrests three Turkish soldiers for beating Syrian refugees near border

A court has ruled for the arrest of three soldiers for beating and verbally abusing four Syrian refugees who attempted to cross the border illegally in the southern border province of Hatay. 

Another soldier was released as part of an investigation carried out by the Altınözü Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the incident on July 31.
