The fate of the world's 1.7 billion Muslims is no longer in the hands of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Dec. 18.

Trade agreements between Qatar and the United States were signed in Washington.

Trump told reporters in the morning that Qatar is investing heavily in the US, buying military equipment and commercial planes.

    He noted the intense political dialogue between Bulgaria and the State of Qatar.

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev arrived on an official visit to the State of Qatar at the invitation of H.M. the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan congratulated Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on the historic Asian Cup win in football in a phone call on Feb. 2.

Erdoğan congratulated the Qatari emir on becoming the Asian Cup champion, said presidential sources.

Bilateral economic and sectoral co-operation, as well as security at regional and international levels were subjects of talks in Doha between Romania's Prime Minister Viorica Dancila and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani as part of Dancila's visit to Doha.

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila on Saturday started an official visit in the Gulf Area, in Muscat, the Oman Sultanate, and in Doha, respectively, the Qatar State, informs a press release of the Government sent to AGERPRES.

Qatar's emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani said in Berlin on Sept. 7 his country would invest some 10 billion euros ($11.6 billion) in Germany, as he battles a policy of isolation by neighboring states.
